Kathleen Hughes was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She now lives in Rhode Island. Her first novel, Dear Mrs. Lindbergh, was published by WW Norton & Co. in October 2003. Other fiction and non-fiction pieces by Ms. Hughes have appeared in Talking River Review, Pieces: A Collection of New Voices (MTV/Pocket Books 2000), and in the Providence Phoenix.
